In order for your website or blog video to start playing automatically whenever a visitor hits on your site, you need to know how to make a video autoplay.

Once you know how to embed the video on the site, you then will need to know how to create JavaScript code to enable the autoplay. To help get you going on your autoplay video, I located the following coding instructions at

First, open your web page in your web page editor, or a text editor like Notepad.  If you use a web page editor, click on the code tab to display the page’s actual code. Then copy and paste the following code inside your Body Tags (<body></body>) of the web page:

<object width=”160″ height=”144″
<param name=”src” value=””>
<param name=”autoplay” value=”false”>
<param name=”controller” value=”true”><embed src=”” width=”160″ height=”144″

autoplay=”false” controller=”true”

Then enter your video as the source file by locating these lines:

<param name=”src” value=””>
<embed src=”” width=”160″ height=”144″and changing “” to the name of your video file. (The video format can be different from the example, i.e., <param name=”src” value=”myvideo.avi”>.)

Change the “autoplay” parameters to “true” and the “controller” parameters to “false,” like this

<param name=”autoplay” value=”true”>
<param name=”controller” value=”false”><embed src=”” width=”160″ height=”144″

autoplay=”true” controller=”false”

If you want to change the size of the video on the page, change the height and width parameters by entering in new numeric values next to height and width. Then save your new code and transfer it to your web host, using file transfer. And that’s how to make a video autoplay!
